Q1: Are the mailers PLAIN TEXT or HTML?

A1: We offer both – either plain text or HTML email formats when we send your emails. Plain text is simple text – no formatting, just black type text on a white background. Any domain name url entered with the http:// in the front of the domain name will automatically become a hypertext clickable link inside peoples email programs so people will still be able to get to your site even if you send a straight text email message.  Html is hyper text markup language – the coding that Web pages are designed with color, formatting and graphics/images can be used. We feel that it is a good idea to keep all html emails to use light amounts of html usage for emailing purposes.

Q2: What is the DIFFERENCE between the services?

A2: We maintain 3 different databases – 1) Double optin email contact database targeted by interest category and maintained miticulously each day. 2) We also have targeted emails by zip code available upon request and 3) a general consumer (not specific target) email list. Who are you looking to target?

Q3: What is the GENERAL AUDIENCE email service?

A3: The general audience consumer email list is a single optin consumer list of people that have not specified any particular targeting other than simple, general consumer interests. They are all English speaking.

Q4: Can I target SPECIFIC CATEGORIES with your service?

A4: Simply select up to three of the available targeted categories on the form where you are asked to provide your email message for us to send on your behalf. Remember if you don’t have an email message to send you can have one of our professional copywriters create an email ad message for your for a small additional fee.

Q5: What are the features of the TARGETED CATEGORY Service?

A5: The Targeted Opt-in Email Advertising Service

  • Sends your text or html message to targeted categories and or geographies you selected. After placing your order found at the bottom of this page.
  • You can preview and review of your targeting info within 72 hours of placing your order at http://members.majon.com. You will be sent your login and password when your order is placed!
  • Your ad will usually start sending 2 – 3 days after that (depending on our queue)
  • This service sends the same message over several evenings (up to 5 days) of that start date, i.e. 10K per day for 50,000, 30K per day for 150,00, 50k per day for 250,000 etc.

Q6: What DEMOGRAPHICS can I choose?

A6: The list of our categories for the Targeted Category Campaign is at http://www.bestemailing.com/targeted-email-advertising/. The available SIC codes targeting are available at http://www.bestemailing.com/sic-code-emailing/

 

Q7: What address is in the FROM address?

A7: The ‘from’ MUST be from US as they have opted in to US. If the ‘from’ were from YOU, the mailer would be SPAM and not arrive in the InBox.

 

Q8: In general, we find RESULTS PEAK 10-14 days from the campaign starting.

  • Successful emailing marketing requires repetition, a great creative for a solid offer, and patience!
  • The key to Internet marketing success is a diverse marketing plan, not just one e-mail campaign!
  • Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any particular response level for our e-mailing service. We will however keep emailing on your behalf at no additional charge if you have not received at least an 8% click thru rate to your web site as indicated by our stat records in the majon members area.
  • Additionally, please know that we do not offer refunds for email ad campaigns that have already been sent out and delivered.
  • Of course, we will work with you to obtain a reasonable level of marketing success!

Q9: How many SALES will the campaign generate?

A9: In general, we are seeing 4000+ visitors to a site per 50,000 emailer ad campaign. That is a pretty good response rate. If you have a compelling, unique offer you could do quite well. However, basing your success on sales alone does not allow you to see where you need to improve your campaign. For example, you could be receiving visitors, but not sales, implying that the reader was interested until they reached the website. Or, you may not receive as many visitors, implying that there is a problem with the intrigue of the subject line. Additionally other factors include the ad message itself, your call to action, your offer, your pricing, your presentation or perhaps even bandwidth of your site host among many other possible reasons that can effect your success.

Q10: Do you provide STATS/REPORTING/TRACKING?

A10: We provide tracking of the number of readers that click FROM your mailer TO the URL in the mailer. These stats are available for review in the customer members’ area of our site that is opened to you when your order is processed.

We provided 24/7 live click thrus and a full report of the IPs that clicked thru. Upon completion, we provide % delivered, % open, and raw server stats

Currently, site visitors average 4000+ for an initial 50,000 million mailer. Please note that click thrus and open rates are not the same! This is ACTUAL visitors to YOUR site, not just folks that opened the email.

Q11: What is the difference between OPEN RATE and CLICK THRU?

A11: Open rate is really an insignificant number – as many email applications will show an email as opened when the message is downloaded. What is good to monitor is click thru rate – meaning how many folks clicked from your URL in the email creative to your Web site. You will be sent your login and password when the order is placed. Of course, any sales, sign-ups, etc will be evident.

Q12: What is your DELIVERY RATE?

A12: We send 108% of the quantity you order, so the delivery rate runs over 100%. In addition, opt -outs and bounces are removed daily, and new opt-ins are populated throughout the databases on a continuous basis to maintain fresh databases.

Q13: How do I know that the emails that you send to people are not going to their SPAM FOLDERS?

A13: Emailing is a reputation based protocol. We protect our email reputation with the most sophisticated technology and the best double opt in email people we can get. These folks have opted in to receive our e-mails, the messages are sent thru a well maintained reputation email system so that minimizes the e-mail from going into a bulk folder. In addition, we are a ‘white-listed’ vendor with most Internet Service Providers.

Q14: How OLD are your email databases or how long do you keep an email address?

A14: The databases are generated daily from many places around the internet where people are optin and then by confirming their optin email address they are added into our targeted category lists. All optin participants are asked to select their targeted areas of interest.

Currently, we obtain new opt-ins from layer ads on various Web pages from many of our partners websites.

Our system automatically removes any bounces and opt-outs every day, so the lists are fresh. In addition, we populate new addressed into the categories as they arrive daily.

Q15: How do you allow people to OPT OUT of an email list?

A15: Opt out remove links are always provided on all e-mails sent out. We folow all the rules and laws of the internet regarding generally accepted emailing principles.

Q16: Do you offer WRITING HELP?

A16: We offer plain text creatives for an additional charge of $50. In addition, We offer a SIMPLE html ad conversion by pulling graphics from your site and formatting with a similar color scheme and fonts of your site for $50. We place these charges after an order is placed, as this is a discounted rate only available to clients who order this service

Q17: Can you offer some GUIDELINES / HELP with my ad?

A17: Yes, we can send you guidelines and a sample to your email address.

Here are some guidelines to help you create a successful e-mail marketing piece.

  • Remember, you represent your online business. Every email you write is being sent to a potential customer.
  • Keep to the point. Everyone’s time is important. Be clear and concise. Do not use clichés or puns.
  • In your ads, use words that are “proven” order pullers. Use words that create excitement, curiosity, motivation and above all action! A listing of words that have PROVEN to be successful in a variety of sales ads are available by clicking here.
  • Typos and spelling mistakes immediately label you as sloppy, careless and unprofessional.
  • Not everyone uses the same email program as you. Some email programs make HTML based email messages look awful. In many cases sending email as plain text is the best option.
  • Your subject line should stop readers and draw their attention. You may want to experiment with different subject lines for your sales emails. Then, your first sentence must hook them. In the next sentence, make the BIG PROMISE. The promise needs to be detailed and specific in order to be believable.
  • Keep line length short. Don’t make people scroll from left to right to read your messages. 60-70 characters should be the maximum length of your lines. If your email program doesn’t word wrap, use your key.
  • Always reply to your email messages promptly. When someone responds to your email messages with an interest in your products, it is as though they have entered your store. If you wait too long to reply, your potential customers have long since left your store
  • Start with a catchy Subject Line with ACTION WORDS
  • The goal is to send the readers to your Web site. Please include your URL. You would be AMAZED at the number of orders we receive that forget this VITAL information!
  • HTML CAN be used for the Targeted (1 million) mailers, but KEEP IT SIMPLE! HTML was created for Web pages, not e-mailing.
  • In addition, the Internet based applications (Juno, Yahoo. gmail, etc) handle html differently than the more sophisticated applications like Eudora, AOL, etc, so the message and spacing are NOT going to be exactly as you prepared it for all viewers.

Q18: How do I check MY STATS?

A18: Please feel free to review your click thrus from the emails to your site in our member’s area at http://members.majon.com/.

Just enter your e-mail address as your username, and you can click on “Forgot password” if you lost the login info.

Select Order Manager and click on the Targeted Order ID #.

Your WebCountPro stats will be visible under Service Details! These are click thrus of REAL visitors that read your message and were interested to visit your site! (As stated in the Service Agreement you signed, we do not provide open rates, bounces, etc…)

Q19: Why don’t your stats MATCH mine?

A19: Please note that our tracking may NOT coincide with your stat counter, stats information at google analytics based on unique settings on your server or system.

Site visitors that  arrive from a stat server (any stat counting server – not just ours) may appear to be  coming from the same IP due to being tabulated through the tracker.

Your own stats may view those visitors as one IP address and thus 1 visitor, so 300 visitors in one day could possibly appear as only 1 visitor!

Another way to think about this is that a counter is a funnel— all the IPs addresses come in the top of the funnel, but the counting process strips the original IP addresses, so the stats that come out the bottom of the funnel may appear as one IP. We have done everything we can to try to prevent this from happeing on must stat counters but in some cases it is out of our control. Therefore, it is understood that we must rely on our inhouse stat counters when determingin all stats for ad campaigns.

Q20: Do you have XYZ databases?

A20: The list of our available targeted categories is available at: http://www.bestemailing.com/targeted-email-advertising/  In addition, you can select specific city/state/zipcodes or SIC codes depending on what service you select.

Q21: Can you buy OUR DATABASES / LISTS?

A21: No, we do not sell email lists. Additionally, since the people on the lists have not opted in to you but rather ot our email ists – if you were to email them with the proper sending protocol that they expect that could technically be considered spam! We send YOUR mailer to the targeted email databases that we maintain.

Q22: Are your mailers considered SPAM?

A22: No, we are a “white listed” vendor by most ISPs and these folks have OPTED in to receive our emailings. When they have joined the list (opted in), they are asked to select their areas of interest

Q23: Where do you GET THE EMAIL ADDRESSES?

A23: Folks have double opted in on various Web sites that we own or from sites we have partnered with. People have volunteered  to receive information about targeted selected interest areas.

Q24: How can I EDIT / change my mailer?

A24: You can access/view/edit your mailer creative 24/7 at http://members.majon.com

Select Order Manager, then your order number on the Order History.

Under Service details, make changes by editing your service details – Just REMEMBER to click UPDATE SERVICE DETAILS when you done!

Q25: How can I PREVIEW my mailer?

A25: Access your mailer creative 24/7 at:  http://members.majon.com

Select Order Manager, then click in the Order ID # in the Order History.

This opens a new tab named Majon Order Summary Under Service details, right under Body is a RED Preview email. Click to view your mailer.

Q26: Can you ADD ME to my mailing database?

A26: As we have millions of contacts in our databases, there is no way to insure your email address would specificially receive your particular mailer. Additinally, we need to follow the protocol that we have established for aall optin people selecting targeted interest areas etc.

Q28: How do I make MY LINK ACTIVE in plain text?

A28: Just place http:// in front of any URL and the link will be active in a text message! Additionally, we personally verify your link before we send your email message for you!

Q29: Can you ADD MY CONTACTS to the databases?

A29: We can’t add your contacts to our list for several reasons including

  • They did not opt in to US and our databases. Additionally, as we have millions of contacts in our database, there is no way to insure they would receive your mailer.

Q30: Do you SELL LISTS?

A30: If we provide you with the lists, we would be violating the privacy of the subscribers and you would then be sending spam, as these folks have not opted in to you of to your lists!
